Privacy Policy

This policy describes what AlgoSub (“we”) collects from you, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you can get it deleted. It is written to match what the software actually does — not a generic template.

The short version. We store your name, email, mobile number and your exchange API keys. The API keys are encrypted and are used only to place the trades you subscribed to. We never see or store your exchange password or your login to any exchange. You can delete your account, and everything personal in it, yourself from Your Profile → Delete account.

1. What we collect

Email address	Your login identity, and password-reset links.
Mobile number	Collected at signup so we can reach you about your account.
Password	Stored only as a bcrypt hash. We cannot read it, and we cannot recover it for you — only reset it.
Exchange API key and secret	To place and close orders on your exchange account for the strategies you subscribe to. Stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM). Never shown back to you or to anyone in readable form.
Your subscriptions and settings	Capital, per-trade amount, risk %, leverage — these decide the size of your orders.
Your trade records	Symbol, side, quantity, price, fees, profit and loss — so your dashboard and P&L are accurate.
Consent record	The date you accepted this policy, and which version you accepted.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account’s email, name and profile ID from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

We do not collect your PAN, Aadhaar, bank account, card details or any government ID. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell data to anyone.

AlgoSub is free. We charge no subscription fee, platform fee, commission or profit share — no payment of any kind — and we never ask for your card, UPI or bank details, so we hold no payment information about you at all. "Subscribe" on this site means subscribing to a strategy, not a paid plan. Since we never take money from you, there is no billing and no refund — there is nothing to refund. The only costs you pay are your exchange's own trading fees, funding and taxes, which go to the exchange and the authorities, never to us.

2. Where your data goes

Your data stays on our own server, except where a feature genuinely requires sending something out:

Your exchange (CoinDCX or CoinSwitch) — receives your order instructions, signed with your API key. This is the whole point of the service.
Google — only if you choose “Sign in with Google”.
Our email provider — the recipient address, when we send you a password-reset email.
CoinGecko — the price ticker at the top of the site shows market data from CoinGecko, and the coin logos in it load directly from CoinGecko's servers, so CoinGecko sees your IP address when the page loads. No account or personal data is sent to them.
Our hosting and network provider — carries the traffic between your browser and our server, as with any website.

3. How your API keys are protected

Keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are written to disk.
The encryption key is kept outside the application’s own folder, in a file the application cannot read, and it is never included in any backup.
Keys are decrypted in memory only at the moment an order is placed.
Keys are never written to logs, never returned by the API, and never displayed in the app after you save them.

We strongly recommend you create exchange API keys with trading permission only — never with withdrawal permission. No part of AlgoSub needs withdrawal access, and we will never ask for it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, your subscriptions and your stored API keys are deleted immediately. Your past trade records are kept with your identity stripped from them, so that the historical performance record of each strategy stays correct; after that stripping, those rows cannot be traced back to you.

5. Your rights

See your data — your profile and your full trade history are visible in the app at any time.
Correct it — change your name, email or password in Your Profile.
Delete it — Your Profile → Delete account. This cannot be undone.
Withdraw consent — deleting your account withdraws it.

Deleting your account does not close positions that are already open on your exchange. For that reason the app will refuse to delete your account while a position is still open. Stop those subscriptions first — that closes the positions — and then delete.

6. What AlgoSub is, and what it is not

AlgoSub is simply a tool that places orders for you automatically. You pick a strategy, you connect your own exchange account, and when that strategy fires a signal the tool sends the order to your exchange through its official API — the thing you would otherwise have to sit and do by hand. That is the entire service.

We are not an exchange. We do not match trades, hold a market, or operate any kind of order book.
We are not a broker and not a fund manager. We never pool, hold or manage anyone's money.
We are not a tip provider or advisory service. We do not tell you what to buy or sell, and nothing in the app is investment, financial or trading advice. We are not a registered investment adviser.
We never hold your money. Your funds stay in your own exchange account, in your own name, at all times. We cannot move them out — and we ask you never to give us an API key that has withdrawal permission.

Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance of any strategy does not guarantee future results. Performance figures shown in the app, including simulated and backtested figures, are not a promise of future results. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and any losses incurred. Trade only with capital you can afford to lose.

7. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. Your login token is kept in your own browser’s local storage so you stay logged in, and it is removed when you log out.

8. Children

AlgoSub is not intended for anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the version and date at the top. Material changes will be shown to you in the app.
